Dr. Moore is a board-certified Family Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), specializing in utilizing evidence-based practices to provide individualized, holistic care to adolescents and adults. He has focused experience working alongside LGBTQ+-identifying individuals, individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), individuals with trauma histories, individuals managing addiction/substance use concerns, and individuals diagnosed with severe mental illness. Dr. Moore has worked in inpatient and outpatient settings, including private practices, federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), community mental health settings, and psychiatric urgent care. He also has a background in secondary and adult education and talk therapy, allowing him to utilize these skills in a comprehensive manner alongside each patient.

Dr. Moore obtained a Master of Education degree in Professional Counseling from the University of Georgia in 2011 and a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Vanderbilt University in 2015. He also obtained a graduate certificate in LGBT Health Policy and Practice from George Washington University in 2017 and completed his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Frontier Nursing University in 2019. He is currently pursuing a PhD in nursing education and serves as an assistant professor of nursing at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He is adamant about continuous learning as related to emerging research and practices and is a firm believer in utilizing medication management services alongside a myriad of other support services available to patients within the community. He is a native of Georgia, made a few stops along the west coast, and is enjoying his time back closer to family.
